August 30th & 31st Darkside Snowboard Shop will be throwing a pre season kick off at their Killington shop. Pre season already? You know how Darkside does it, we are always ahead of the curve. Anyway if you are in the area you should come down, get some jibbing in, eat some food, and get in on the tent sale. Hope to see you there.
On Saturday I was lucky enough to see a large amount of the skate industry come together in support of a fallen shredder. Levi Huffman suffered a severe head injury on International Go Skate Day, he was in the ICU for weeks. The reason that so many people came together for Levi is his amazing character. I have a huge amount of respect or Levi, he is the kind of person who will go out of his way to help anyone he can.Like how he takes a group of little skate groms to a different skatepark that they wouldn’t normally have access to each week. Every time I skate with Levi he goes out and teaches someone something new or give them the confidence in themselves to do more than they thought the could. Levi and his fiancée are expecting their first child later this year, he will be an amazing father. On the 12th Board Cartel put together a skate contest along with Woodward to raise money for Levi and his family. The people at Cartel got everyone they could involved and before we knew it there were over 20 sponsors sending product to help Levi. Product from Circa, Fallen, Mystery, Zero, Black Box, Anon, Nixon, Oakley, Element, RVCA, Bern helmets, Neff, Etnies, and boardpusher.com.
The local shops, Thirfty Stick, 303 Boards, and Board Room also pitched in and each gave out package of gear for the event.
More photos after the jump…

Went over to Seth Huot’s house yesterday with Rob Mathis, to take some pics of Seth’s Harley. Jon Kooley cruised over and joined the shoot as well. It was hot as hell in Seth’s garage but we managed to put together a pretty decent photo Seshn while Kooley told some hilarious stories about his love/hate relationship with his bike he built from ground up.
Watch out for more on what went down at ‘Seth Coast Customs’ coming to you soon.

So our pal Cyle Cadam ,a.k.a Creepy Cyle, over at Electric visual was nice enough to send us some of the newest and hottest shades to be released. Electric has always been known for being rider and skater influenced. With Team memebers like Bam Margera, Chris Bradshaw, Lucas Magoon, Pierre Luc-Gagnon, Jamie Anderson; Electric is surely going to be a heavy hitter with style and orginality.
Now I know you all have seen the Frogskins from Oakley, but have you seen the new flare of the Detroit. With Retro inspired styling for a post modern world these will hit the clubs with the fresh and funk you have been looking for. The Detroit rocks vintage lines with a 21st century vibe, and enough style to make Johnny Cash jealous.

The Hoodlum’s personally are my favorite. Once again Electric has mastered the clean vintage lines that make this an easy choice to rock for any grand entrance. The Hoodlum’s are very lightweight and 70’s inspired which make them perfect for summer parties. Be sure to notice the Rasta flare for extra added style.

Now everyone needs a pair of aviators to set it off. Wether you are wearing a desginer suit or just flossing the streets; the Airheart will give you the swagger to make you clean and crisp. With distinctive lines and a wire framed lense the Airheart well let you try something new beside the oversized look of today.

All these shades plus goggles and more can be viewed at www.electricvisual.com . Also be sure to add them on Myspace http://www.myspace.com/electricvisual and tell them KDeezy at Seshn sent you. Thanks again Cadam and all the crew at Electric.
Last Of The Mohicans is building some hype and some think it could very well be one of the best indie video of 2008. Check out this teaser and then order the DVD here.

This september, shops will be stocking up on the Cockroach Artist Series Skateboards from Zoo York. The idea is inspired by New York’s most unbreakable inhabitant; the cockraoch. Zoo York teamed up with some pretty legit names in the art world such as, Greg Lamarche, Steve Nishimoto, Handselecta, Kyle Talbott, Stephen Halker, and Jules Kim.

A bunch of rad artists took to the streets in Mexico to paint murals and bomb walls for the new Nike Sportswear store opening in Mexico City. The artists commissioned were Jason Maloney, Joe Ledbetter, Jesse Reno, Bigfoot, Carlos Ramos, Tixinda, Popwhore, and 123Klan. Looked like a happening time and the Mexico city streets have been changed for the better for sure.
